Writing for the Web - Keywords

Use them because:


  • Scanners' eyes will jump from one highlighted keyword (whether bolded or hyperlinked) to another. Keywords guide them through your content.

  • Reading on a computer screen can cause eye strain. People naturally want to minimize the number of words they read.

  • Your page is competing with millions and millions of other sites. Relevant keywords keep your user on your page.
