Master of Science in Kinesiology – Applied Sport Psychology (online)

  • The 36-credit program offers a wide range of courses and practical experiences in order to provide students the knowledge and skills necessary to become a sport psychology professional.
  • All courses are offered online which allows for greater flexibility and optimum convenience for students who hold full-time careers or cannot relocate.
  • Students can complete the program in two years, which includes all coursework and practicums.
  • Small class sizes and that allow for a personalized learning experience and access to professors.

The coursework in this degree fulfills the required coursework to be eligible to work towards attaining the Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) status with the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, which is the top certification in the field. Students are not guaranteed to get all the required mentorship hours to be eligible for CMPC. Mentorship hours outside of the offered practicums are the student’s responsibility independent of this graduate program. If interested in pursuing the CMPC after completing this degree, discuss with the Graduate Program Chair and look at the CMPC requirements, which can be found on the Association for Applied Sport Psychology website under Certification.
