Dr. Christine Keitges
Christine Keitges received a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance from Henderson State University in Arkansas and taught public school music for several years before pursuing graduate school at Arizona State University in Tempe. She received Master's degrees in Choral Music and Vocal Performance/Pedagogy and taught at Arizona State and at Phoenix College. A mezzo-soprano, Christine completed the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 1988.
After teaching at Mercer University in Georgia, Christine became Professor of Music at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.
An active performer, Christine has soloed extensively in the Phoenix, Arizona area, appearing with the Lyric Opera Theatre, Scottsdale Symphony Orchestra, Tempe Symphony Orchestra, Bach and Madrigal Society, and the Arizona Choral Arts Society. She is widely known as a recitalist In Georgia, she appeared with the Macon Civic Chorale, Georgia College, and in recitals.
In Colorado and New Mexico, she has appeared with the Taos Orchestra and in recitals in Denver and southern Colorado. Dr. Keitges appeared with the Taos Chamber Music Group in January 2000, performing works by Bach and Ravel.
