Lasca Beck is a "Nursing Education Specialist" for Adams State College. Her position was established through a grant provided by the Colorado Trust. Ms. Beck's role as defined through the grant is to educate nursing students in both the Adams State College (ASC) and Trinidad State Junior College (TSJC) nursing programs. She serves as a mentor to nursing instructors at ASC and provides release time for the TSJC faculty who are pursuing a graduate degree.
Lasca's clinical specialty areas include Medical/Surgical Nursing, Management and Leadership, Professional Socialization/Trends, History of Nursing, and Health Care Ethics. She was employed as Staff Development Coordinator at the Colorado State Veterans Center-Homelake, Colorado prior to employment at ASC. Teaching experience prior to joining ASC include Texarkana College in Texarkana, Texas, Arizona State University in Tempe and Phoenix, Arizona.
