Amanda's hospital experience includes working in areas of Medical Surgical, Neurosurgical, and ENT Surgical Nursing. Clinic experience has been in both Internal Medicine and Family Practice settings. Nursing Administration experience has been at Adams State University. She is currently certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner and is the president of the Colorado Nurses Association District 6.

Her teaching experience has been with Trinidad State Junior College Nursing Program and Adams State College Nursing Program. She has taught nursing since 2002. She volunteers as a board member for Hospice del Valle in Alamosa, CO and sits on various other committees within the San Luis Valley health care community.
