RN-BSN Completion Program

The Adams State College Nursing program is a collaborative effort involving Trinidad State Junior College, San Luis Valley Regional Medical Center, and the San Luis Valley (SLV) Area Health Educational Center.

The RN-BSN track provides students with a comprehensive academic foundation that requires approximately 1 1/2 years to complete for registered nurses who already have an Associate Degree in Nursing. Many leading nursing organizations recognize the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) as the minimum requirement for professional nursing practice. Greater flexibility and professional opportunities are hallmarks of baccalaureate preparation in nursing.

Program Highlights

The courses for the RN to BSN Completion are offered two days per week and follow the standard semester system of Adams State College. Courses are 2-3 hrs. depending on the class. Three courses have a clinical component: Nursing Management, Service Learning, and Rural/Community Health Nursing.
