Terri Squires

Terri Squires is a Family Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified as well as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified. In addition she is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has worked in the mental health field since the late 1980's working as an individual therapist, family therapist, emergency psychiatric clinician, mobile crisis clinician, and an advanced practice nurse. She has prescribed and managed the most complex psychopharmacological and medical cases on a high intensity team of patients diagnosed with Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, refractory depression, ADHD, Substance Abuse/Dependence issues.

She earned a Post-Master's degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee; she earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver, Colorado; she earned a Master's of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology, Berkeley, California wherein she was advanced to candidacy in their Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. She had two years of doctoral training as a clinical psychologist and then pursued degrees in the nursing field.

She has her own private practice and company, Alternative Mental Health Treatment, LLC, and sees patients privately for psychotherapy and medication management.
