Physics Minor

To earn a minor in physics students must complete the following coursework:

  • PHYS 230/231 General Physics I (lecture & lab) -- 5 hours
  • PHYS 232/233 General Physics II (lecture & lab) -- 5 hours
  • PHYS 306 Modern Physics -- 4 hours

4 additional hours from the following courses selected in consultation with the department chair or a physics minor advisor:

  • PHYS 300 - Electronics & Electrical Measurement -- 3 hours
  • PHYS 302 - Intermediate Mechanics -- 4 hours
  • PHYS 304 - Electricity & Magnetism -- 4 hours
  • PHYS 336 - Research in Physics -- 1 hour
