Licensing and Endorsements

Application forms for initial licensure and added endorsement are found on the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) web site.

Follow the instructions on the CDE web sit for completing your application. A webinar explaining the application process can be found on the licensure page.

Initial licensure applications are completed on-line. Once the application has been completed on-line and payment made, no changes can be made to the application.

During the application process, download the appropriate CDE application page that requires the “Dean of Education or Certification Officer” signature. Submit this page to the Department of Teacher Education by one of the following methods.

Once signed and completed, this form will be emailed to CDE. A copy will be mailed to applicants for confirmation. The applicant is responsible for ordering official transcripts to be mailed to CDE.

Added endorsement applications will soon be available only on-line also.
