Freshmen Scholarship Auditions:
If you want to be a theatre or theatre education major at a liberal arts university, we want you to audition for our program.
The Freshmen Theatre Scholarship is awarded to deserving incoming theatre majors. It is worth $1,500 for the first year and $1,000 for each of the following three years. We also have other freshmen year scholarships worth up to $1,000 to award to those students who show great potential.
These merit scholarships are not dependent on high school rankings, on test scores, or on financial need, but on talent.
The Freshmen Scholarship Auditions are scheduled on Friday, February 21, 2014 on the Adams State University campus:
Auditions consist of two contrasting, memorized monologues totaling less than 4 minutes in length. Or, you may present a portfolio of technical work. In addition to the auditions, we invite you to join us for a day of activities including attending classes, participating in an improv workshop, visiting with Admissions and Financial Aid Officers, and attending a show performed by The Lost and Found Comedy Improv Troupe.

Scholarship Opportunities for Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Theatre Majors:
Theatre Scholarships are available to returning students and are awarded based on need, academic success, and talent. These scholarships include The William and Lenora Gilmore Memorial Theatre Scholarship, The Junior/Senior Theatre Merit Scholarship, The Paul S. and Patti K.
