Mr. James Willis Jr. earned his B.A. in Speech/Theatre from Adams State University in 1992.

He has donated his time and resources to the Theatre Department in the form of makeup design, supervision, and execution for myriad productions mounted by the department during the last fifteen years.

He has worked professionally as an actor as well as makeup artist and performed makeup workshops at colleges and high schools. As an adjunct instructor he teaches Stage Makeup, Cinema, and Speech.

Mr. Willis directed The Fantasticks, Everything in the Garden, and Lend Me a Tenor for ASU and assistant directed, with Dr. Carolyn Harper, the RMTA showcase productions Waiting for Godot and Hedda Gabler.

Mr. Willis scripted and acted in the production September Songs as part of a week of fine arts events sponsored by Adams State University on AIDS awareness. Proceeds from this event went to AIDS research.
