New all-weather U.S. and Colorado flags and all-night lighting now make it easier for Adams State to follow flag protocol. Student Affairs purchased the flags; Facilities Services purchased and installed the lighting - meaning the flags needn't be lowered each evening. Previously, staff from both the ASC Police Department and Facilities Services were required to raise and lower the flags daily. Stiff winds and foul weather complicated the procedure. "I'm really proud of this small step to respect our flags," said Dr. Joel Shults, Chief of ASCPD.
