Frequently Asked Questions
When I try to get on the Internet all I see is a white page. How come the login page for Bradford doesn't appear?
Make sure you have an Ethernet port or wireless adapter installed on your computer. Almost all new computers have a built in Ethernet port and most new laptops have a built in wireless adapter.
After you determine that you have an Ethernet card or wireless adapter installed on your computer and Bradford still does not come up, make sure your Ethernet cable is plugged into the wall or hub and into your computer. When you plug your cord in you will hear a "clicking sound." For wireless users, make sure that your computer is in an area where the wireless signal is strong.
If using wireless make sure your wireless adapter is turned on. If you know your computer has built in wireless, you may have to press a button to turn it on.
Why can't I use a router or wireless access point of my own?
Wireless routers and rogue access points create loops in the network, causing service failures for the entire network.
How do I manually run Windows Updates?
Click on Start>Windows Update. When you are prompted between "Express" or "Custom" click on "Express". Alternately open Internet Explorer>Tools>Windows Update. When you are prompted between "Express" or "Custom" click on "Express". Run the updates.
