Academic Executive Director

Extended Studies

Position Description:

This is a twelve-month exempt, at-will, full-time position. The Academic Executive Director will oversee all academic-related processes and programs for Extended Studies. This will include leadership and oversight in the areas of distance learning faculty development, program development, expansion of degree and certificate programs, grant acquisition, needs assessment, and quality assurance.

The successful job candidate will work directly with the Associate Provost of Extended Studies to provide high quality educational opportunities that are relevant, timely, and innovative. Travel is required.

ASC Extended Studies (ES) Executive Staff Core Responsibilities:

  1. Align ES initiatives with Adams State College (ASC) Mission and Goals
  2. Align ES initiatives with the Extended Studies Mission and Strategic Priorities
  3. Administer ES processes
  4. Implement academic quality control processes
  5. Supervise and train staff
  6. Administer Colorado Department of Higher Education and Adams State College policies
  7. Support strategic initiatives
  8. Ensure accountability and compliance
  9. Collaborate with all ES internal and external partners and stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits:

$55,000 - $65,000. Adams State College offers a competitive benefits program.
