Assistant/Associate Professor of Counselor Education

Position Description:
We are seeking a faculty member for a tenure-track position in a dynamic and productive CACREP approved MA Counseling Program. We are seeking a generalist who can teach a wide variety of courses in counselor education. Responsibilities will include teaching a broad range of courses in both the on-campus and off-campus programs in the community and the school counseling tracks. Some travel, evening, weekend, and on-line course delivery are required. Hard work, initiative, flexibility, and a sense of humor are valued!
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Counselor Education or closely related field. ABD considered.
- Dedication to teaching excellence.
- Active participation in professional organizations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other academic departments, community agencies, and public schools.
- Ability to develop a record of professional scholarship and achievement.
- Teaching experience preferred and familiarity with on-line course delivery desirable.
- Eligibility as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience in the field of addictions or school counseling is desirable.
- Ability to perform the duties in the position description.
