Assistant/Associate Professor of HPPE

Adams State College is currently accepting applications for a tenure track position as Assistant or Associate Professor of HPPE for Spring 2009.
Starting Date: January 2009
Responsibilities include:
- teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the Department of HPPE
- supervising field experiences;
- advising undergraduate students;
- scholarly activity;
- service to the department and institution;
- additional faculty responsibilities will be explored based upon qualifications.
 
Qualifications:
- Required: Ph.D., Ed.D. or ABD in HPPE or related field; ability to teach two or more of the following:- sport law, organization and administration of sport, facilities management.
- Ability to perform duties of this position.
- Preferred: College teaching experience.
- Additional abilities: Ability to teach physical education pedagogy.
Salary and Benefits:
Compensation will be in accordance with qualifications and experience (up to $46,000). This position is a nine-month appointment with a separate summer contract negotiable. Adams State College offers a competitive benefit package.
