Admissions-based Merit Scholarships for first-time freshmen
The following scholarships require undergraduate, full-time, on-campus (12 credits per term) enrollment and are available fall and spring semesters only. Awards are based on the application for admission. No separate application required.
Promising Scholar Award - $1,000
Awarded to admitted first-time freshmen with a CCHE index from 100-119. Colorado resident and non-resident students eligible.
Academic Achievement Award - $1,500
Awarded to admitted first-time freshmen with a 120 CCHE index or higher. Colorado residents and non-resident students eligible.
Valedictorian Scholarship - $1,000
Awarded to first-time freshmen who have been designated as valedictorian by their secondary school. Colorado resident and non-resident students eligible.
Experience Colorado Scholarship - $5,000
Awarded to admitted non-Colorado residents with a 80 CCHE index or higher.
Renewable for four years by maintaining Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).
Grizzly Partnership Award - $3,200
Awarded to admitted students who have graduated from a high school in one of the following counties: Alamosa, Archuleta, Chaffee, Conejos, Costilla, Huerfano, Mineral, Rio Arriba (NM), Rio Grande, Saguache, Taos (NM). Recipient must live on-campus to receive award.
Renewable for the student’s freshman and sophomore years only. Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress.
ASU Foundation Scholarships
In addition to the above listed scholarships, all students are encouraged to apply for scholarships through the Adams State University Foundation. Foundation scholarship information is online here.
