Recruitment for the fall begins in late August, continuing until all projects are filled or September 20. Teams are encouraged to remain active with their chosen agency throughout the year. 

NOTE: A team may opt to create its own project so long as it meets a demonstrated need within the community. Please discuss this with the ASU Cares Committee.

ASU Cares Volunteer Recruitment Fair 

Wednesday September 24, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Japanese Garden on the ASU Campus

The San Luis Valley is home to a variety of nonprofit organizations. ASU hosts these organizations each year at the ASU Cares Volunteer Recruitment Fair. Students, faculty and staff learn the ways nonprofits serve the community and also find opportunities to volunteer.

The ASU Cares Volunteer Recruitment Fair is also a fundraiser for campus clubs to sell food items. Come enjoy tasty treats, be entertained, enjoy the crisp fall weather, and celebrate community!

Nonprofit organizations or ASU clubs may register for a booth at the fair.

ASU Cares Day Events

Saturday September 20

Take the Plungeā€¦ into the San Luis Valley!

Nonprofit agencies are invited to submit proposals for short-term projects that would engage ASU and community volunteers in helping to meet the organization's mission.

ASU students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to sign up for a project that meets a community need. Teams will be formed and will travel to assigned work sites around the SLV. Clubs, sports teams, residence halls, classes, etc., may sign up as a group.
