ASC FORGIVENESS AND RECONCILIATION PROGRAM

In conjunction with the Dead Man Walking School Theatre Project

April 22, 2006

ASC Theatre

Is forgiveness a universal truth? Do major world religions differ on the idea of mercy? What is the nature of justice? Is there a place for revenge? Should we attempt to reconcile with those who have done us harm? This is a day to explore how we, as individuals and society, treat failure and transgression.

8:30 Registration, Coffee & Concessions

9:00 to 10:30 Interfaith Panel

10:30 to 11:30 Video & Discussion (VORP)

11:45 to 12:30 pm Keynote Speech, Sr. Helen Prejean

12:40 pm Closing Dance Piece

This is a conference to examine issues of importance within civil society and that should be engaged at an institution of higher learning. It is an opportunity to engage in a dialogue about various philosophical and religious perspectives. It is an occasion to learn from a variety of nationally recognized speakers. The event will impact students, college staff and the San Luis Valley community. It is truly for everyone.

Co-sponsors: AS&F T Student Senate, ASC Cross Cultural Center, United Campus Ministries, and ASC Theatre.
