EPIC

Here's the Scoop...

EPIC is a great way to get involved at ASC and connect with fellow students who are in the same place you are. It is wonderful having a group of people that share every class - you always have someone to talk to about homework, or just life.

One of the ways EPIC helps first generation students succeed is by offering a Supplemental Instructor (SI). An SI is a student who has taken the class before and passed with an A. They hold meetings outside the classroom to give you further instruction on the course.

The EPIC program helps first generation students like me succeed in our first semester in college.

I especially like the Connections class. It teaches us to become more comfortable with our college environment. It offers a place to bond and connect with fellow peers.

Personally being a part of EPIC has been fun for me. It has made me feel comfortable in class because I know I have people I can turn to for help.
