Military Experience Credit
Policies
- Military service credit (formal school training only) is processed when official documents or transcripts are received at ASC.
- Only courses found in the American Council on Education Guide or on transcripts (CCAF, AARTS, SMART) can be evaluated.
- Locally conducted (base- or post-level) courses are generally not accepted due to their unstructured and changing content.
- The chairperson from the academic department where you expect to earn your degree will make the final decision as to how the credit will be awarded.
- Course work accepted from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) is not considered military credit.
- Military Service Transcripts (CCAF, AARTS, SMART) should be sent to

AIR FORCE
U.S. Air Force students/veterans provide ASC with a transcript from the Community College of the Air Force. Options for obtaining a copy of your CCAF transcript include
- completing an AF Form 2099 - Request for Community College of the Air Force Transcript available at the nearest Education Office, or
- sending a letter of request with your signature, full name or former name if appropriate, Social Security Account Number, current address including ZIP Code, and ASC address listed above

ARMY
U.S. Army students/veterans provide ASC with a transcript from the Army/American Council on Education Registry Transcript (AARTS). Options for obtaining a copy of your AARTS transcript include
- completing the AARTS Request Form available at your Post Education Services Office
- faxing your request to AARTS, Operations Center, 913-684-2011 (toll free for information call 1.866.297.4427)
- sending a letter of request with your signature, full name or former name if appropriate, SSAN, current address including ZIP Code and ASC address listed above to
