Course Description: This course provides students with a survey of research and theory in the science of psychology. An important goal of the courses is to broaden the student's understanding of self and others. Course topics include critical thinking skills, research methods, neuro-science, sensation and perception, life-span development, learning, memory, personality, psychological disorders, and social psychology. Student must complete four major assignments and one proctored final exam.
Course Description: This course addresses the social, biological, and psychological factors of the major drugs associated with therapeutic and recreational use and abuse. Topics include drug use as a social problem, theories and treatment of addiction, how drugs work, and the detrimental health effects of drug use.
