School Tours of America's (STA) delivers affordable travel opportunities that support classroom learning. As the leading educational tour company, a team of professional educators bring a unique perspective in providing fun, interactive and educational adventures that connect with students in a way the traditional classroom simply cannot.

Adams State is delighted to offer 1.0 semester hour of credit for students and educators for successful completion of the School Tours of America travel program. This is an exciting opportunity for students and educators to receive college credit for the work completed in this program. Educators will be exposed to new classroom techniques that will inspire and motivate students while students will be immersed in the nation's diverse history of America traveling to locations they can only read about now. Register for the course after you have successfully completed the course.

To receive college credit, please complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the course work with School Tours of America. Request course information from extendedlearnningsolutions@gmail.com.
  2. Register with ASU for the course you completed.
  3. Once ASU has processed your final paperwork, you will receive a free ASU official transcript with your grade.

1.0 SCH graduate credit--Instructor: Jim Bullington--Hear and learn from educational experts as you travel to strategic areas of the country to study in the most historical and cultural landmarks in our nation. This learning opportunity will provide the student with hands-on learning experiences and activities that cannot be easily duplicated in the traditional classroom. School Tours of America, an organization founded by educators and educational tour pioneers, and local educators collaborate to provide a life experience that will allow students to visit sites and explore their historical, cultural, and educational advantages. There are many ways to improve student achievement, and travel programs are recognized as a vital component to the educational process. Students will engage in conversations related to the places they visit and apply this learning through various activities based exclusively on the sites visited.
