• Course Description

Introductory Biology is a one-semester lecture/laboratory course designed to acquaint the non-major with a broad overview of the fundamental principles of biology. Topics considered will include the scientific method of inquiry, evolution, the biology of cells, principles of inheritance, the biology of organisms including a survey of major groups, and ecology with emphasis on the adaptations of organisms to living and non-living environmental factors.
