ECON 294 - First 100 Days of the Obama Presidency

This course examines the first 100 days of the Obama presidency through an analysis of presidential transitions, current economic conditions, policy changes and the impact on our nation. We do this through the disciplined eyes of public administration and economics.

PSYC 179/GOVT 179 - Psychology and Social Issues

This general education course focuses on the ways that psychology, social science, and law influence and are influenced by social issues. This course will be taught by faculty from both psychology and government and will consider issues such as competency, juries, eyewitness testimony, the insanity defense, child abuse, sexual harassment, psychological tests, and regulation of the professions.

WS 201 - Women's Studies

An interdisciplinary analysis of women's position in society as presented through the disciplines of history, sociology, anthropology, theology, psychology, literature, and the fine arts. The course will examine theoretical approaches to the differential access to power between men and women and the existence of patriarchy in Western culture.
