Computing Services Helpdesk Assistant

Job description

Must be able to help students and faculty/staff with computer related problems or direct them to a staff member in that area of specialty. Create work orders by obtaining correct and detailed information on the problem. Duties include answering the telephone, responding to emails from students, faculty, & staff, sorting mail, basic filing, receiving customers and other duties as assigned.

Lab Assistant/Tech

Job description

Lab Assistants answer questions from the users, maintains the printer supplies, troubleshoot and report computer problems etc. They help us maintain the hardware in the labs and classrooms.  They also help with hardware and software installations. This includes both Windows and Macintosh computers. Knowledge of Windows 7, Mac OS X (10.8), Microsoft Office 2010 (PC) and 2011 (Mac), and standard applications used in the labs is a plus. Must be reliable, and responsible. Must have good customer service skills. Must have excellent communication skills.

Network Technician

Status: closed

Job description

Must have good technical/computer skills, will be working directly with faculty, staff and students on network related issues. Power and hand tools are used extensively in this position, candidates with experience relating to power and hand tools are preferred. This position requires significant physical efforts, such as the regular lifting of heavy objects (30-50 lbs.), working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and working from heights. For safety reasons, candidates need to have good eye sight and hearing. Applicant needs to be willing to perform physically demanding work when required. Other duties may include research, repair, and upgrade campus networking equipment. Student needs to possess strong written and oral communication skills.
