International Admission Checklist

  • Complete an international application for admission:
  • Request all transcripts be sent directly from your school(s) to the Office of Admissions. International students are required to have their transcripts translated into English AND evaluated by an authorized agency to determine what U.S. equivalencies exist for grades, credit hours and accreditation. All results should be formally sent to Adams State from one of the three services. Payment for this service is the responsibility of the international student.

    Only college or university-level work certified to have U.S. accreditation equivalency by one of the three named organizations above will be accepted directly in transfer. Please submit documentation to:

  • Submit TOEFL scores. Adams State University requires a 550 on the paper-based, a 213 on the computer-based, or a 79 on the internet-based exam.

  • Provide verification of financial support. International students must provide financial certification showing the availabilities of $28,341 US or the equivalent in another currency. Affidavit of Support (I-134), recent bank statements, and/or scholarship awards are acceptable.
