Autumn@Adams cook-off is September 15
Sensational cooks and chile lovers, plan to attend the ever-popular Autumn@Adams Cook-Off starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, on the North Campus Green. Enter your special recipe for red or green chile or salsa for $10 and receive up to $125 for first place.
Tickets to sample the chile and salsa cost $3 and include the right to vote for your favorite dish. This year includes a jalapeno eating contest for adults and a watermelon seed spitting contest for children, both include prizes. Adams State clubs and organizations will be selling baked goods, drinks, and other special treats.
Voting stops at 1 p.m. and the event will close at 2 p.m. after announcing all award recipients. For the last four years, Justin Atencio has received first place for his green chile, will this trend continue…
