ASC announces free commuter parking lot

(12-14-2009)

Adams State College's new parking lot on First St., just west of the Nielsen Library, is now available for commuter parking at no charge, according to Dean of Students Ken Marquez. He said community members are also encouraged to use the lot when on campus. The intent is to ease parking demands on residential streets near campus.

"There will be no permit required, fee charged, or tickets issued for parking in this lot through the summer, while we are completing construction on Stadium Dr.," he added. However, tickets will be issued for such parking violations as unauthorized use of a handicapped parking spot.

Twenty-two free parking slots are also available on the northeast side of the campus lot north of Plachy Hall. Marquez noted that parking regulations and permit requirements will continue to be enforced on all other campus lots.
