Adams State College offers Wilderness First Aid Workshop (02-04-08)
Adams State College is offering a Wilderness First Aid Workshop from Feb. 16 until Feb. 18. Wilderness First Aid is the perfect course for the outdoor enthusiast who wants a basic level of first aid training for short trips with family, friends, and outdoor groups.
The course covers topics such as patient assessment, musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries, splinting, and a variety of other topics.
Registration forms are available on the Wilderness Medical Training Center (WMTC) website at http://www.wildmedcenter.com. Participants will receive nationally recognized certification. Adams State students should sign up through Adams State Adventure Programs to receive the discounted price.
The pricing for the course is $190 for community members and $160 for students.
