Night sky and telescopes subject of next Science Saturday

(02-08-2011)

The February 12 Adams State College Science Saturday will look at the types of objects in the night sky that can be seen with a telescope, beginning at 9 a.m. at Zacheis Planetarium, located on the Adams State campus. The group will also discuss types and constructions of small telescopes. Following a short break, participants will move to Porter Hall 120 and learn the physics of a small telescope while building one.

This series of activities, including the hands-on activities, is expected to last about three hours. There is no charge for Science Saturday activities and it is open to the public. Activities are suitable for all ages. If you are attending, please be at the planetarium early.
