ASC trustee named ambassador to Finland (06-30-2009)
President Barack Obama recently named Adams State College Trustee Bruce Oreck as the U.S. Ambassador to Finland. A founding partner of the Boulder law firm Oreck, Crighton, Adams & Chase, Oreck has served on the college Board of Trustees since November, 2007.
ASC Trustee Bruce Oreck
Oreck served on Obama's National Finance Committee. He is a member of Colorado's Climate Action Panel and is very active in environmental issues, having founded The Zero Carbon Initiative. He is also on the board of trustees for the Denver Museum of Nature & Science.
Oreck formerly practiced law in New Orleans and for a number of years chaired that city's Historic Districts Landmarks Commission. He also previously served as Vice President and General Counsel for The Oreck Corporation.
