Many writing strategies offered at Adams State College workshop
Poet and writing coach Carol Guerrero-Murphy invites you to indulge in a 4-day Writing Retreat from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday, July 25, through Thursday, July 28 at Adams State College.
The course may be taken for 3 undergraduate or graduate credits; it is intended for all levels of adults. Each day will focus on practicing many strategies for writing for different purposes: to think (as in analyze, synthesize, understand); to reflect (as in self-awareness, healing); to create (as in poetry, fiction, memoir, creative non-fiction); to publish (revising, polishing, performing, on-line publishing, portfolios). Days will be spent learning a strategy, enjoying large chunks of time for directed writing, and sharing the work.
You may register on-line or at the ASC One-Stop in the Student Union Building for ENG 292 (crn 14779), ENG 492 (crn 14568), or ENG 592 (crn 14569). For a good time, bring a fast pen, a blank journal/notebook, and an interest in mind/heart/writing connections.
