Improving Access to Health Care is fourth ASC Faculty Lecture (03-12-08)
The fourth Adams State College Faculty Lecture, "Improving Access to Health Care," by Armando Valdez, assistant professor of business, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 26 in Porter Hall (the science building) room 130.
Health care is a topic which impacts all of us. We are fortunate to live in a country which offers some of the best medical technology, medical training, and medical care in the entire world. Unfortunately, access to this health care is available, if you can afford it. Financing of the U.S. health care system has been open to much debate. This lecture will discuss different approaches to financing U.S. health care and offer a single-payer system as an alternative approach to reform U.S health care financing.
