Cori Rich experiences great success in the Sociology department

Cori Rich demonstrates her high capabilities in the Sociology department. Because of this, the department has decided to recognize her as a graduating student who has gone above and beyond the requirements of her degree.
Rich is double majoring in Sociology and Anthropology. Coming all the way from Saint Louis, Missouri, she has achieved an impressive 3.7 GPA up to date.
Rich has become an active member on campus by making the President’s and Dean’s list, as well as the Honor Society in Anthropology through the History, Government, and Philosophy department.
Additionally, she took a semester abroad during the spring of 2010 in Ireland. “It was the best experience of my life,” said Rich.
After graduation, Rich hopes to continue on to graduate work at Illinois State University. In April, she will find out if she is accepted into their Archaeology department.
Eventually, Rich hopes to achieve a PhD in Archaeology and travel to do work all over the country and the world.
Rich would like to encourage younger students to have goals and manage their time. “The most important thing in any aspect of college is to manage school, class, and free time,” said Rich.
