No cost tuition at Adams State College (05-02-07)

College at no cost to the student? Sounds too good to be true, but with the new Adams State College-Connections Program, this can be a reality for Adams State students. Pell Grant-eligible Adams State College students qualify for enough scholarships and grants to cover the cost of tuition, books, and fees, beginning this fall.

"Because we are committed to the concept of accessibility and affordability of higher education for the underserved students of Colorado, we established the Adams State College-Connections Program," said Phil Schroeder, director of Financial Aid.

The Connections Program is for students admitted to Adams State, enrolled full-time (30 credit hours an academic year), and pursuing their first undergraduate degree. After students complete the free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) they can check on their Adams State College-Connections Program eligibility by calling 719-587-7306, emailing Adams State College Connections Program, or stopping by the One Stop Student Services, located in the Adams State Student Union Building.

New, transfer, or returning students may also be eligible for the Adams State College Connections Program. Once eligibility for the Connections Program is established students must maintain eligibility, academically and financially, and they will remain in the program.
