Solar industry workshop is May 28 and 29 (05-15-08)

Adams State College Community Partnerships, Colorado Solar Energy Industries Association, (CoSEIA) and the San Luis Solar Association would like to invite existing and potential solar related businesses to a solar industry workshop on May 28 and 29, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Adams State College School of Business, room 238. CoSEIA is the Colorado branch of the nationwide Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), which has been in existence since 1989. Organized with the goal of promoting the use of solar energy, CoSEIA is comprised mainly of solar-focused companies providing solar products and services to both residential and commercial customers.

This two day class will cover everything from basic photovoltaic design analysis to system sizing, energy use analysis and installation. Larry LeDue, owner of Sustainable Solutions, Inc., will teach the course. Sustainable Solutions Inc. based in Silver Cliff, Colorado, is a solar renewable, design, installation and consulting firm. LeDue also does consulting for homeowners who wish to utilize both passive and active solar gain in new construction or in remodeling. LeDue has just completed a feasibility study for Lockheed Martin exploring renewable energy resources.
