Relive the past

(05-05-2010)

Men and women socialize outside a general store at a recent recreation of the Battle of Gloriaetta Pass. The original battle included soldiers from Colorado. Students from Adams State College participated in this event.

Have you ever wondered what it was really like to live in the Victorian Period, or to be a soldier in the Civil War? The Adams State College Department of History, Government, and Philosophy will offer you a chance to find out this fall. HIST 279 is a one credit enrichment course designed to introduce students to historical reenactment and living history. The course is open to anyone, including community members as well as Adams State students. Participants in the class will have opportunities to participate in historical reenactment events. For more information, contact Dr. Richard Goddard, associate professor of history, at 719-587-7267.
