School of Business honors students

The Adams State University School of Business awarded Emily Andrews, Wendi Crowther, and Rita Mays with an 2013 Outstanding Graduate Award, during their annual Awards Banquet on May 2. These students are involved in their academics, extra-curricular activities and internships or other jobs outside of school.

The annual banquet honors outstanding graduating seniors in business. In order to be considered for the awards, students must earn at least a 3.0 GPA and graduate in the fall or spring of the current year. Awards included the Golden Key award, received by the student with the highest GPA in accounting; an outstanding graduate in each major; and to the overall outstanding graduate in the School of Business.

The following students were honored: Wendi Crowther, Accounting Gold Key Award; Anke Spiegelhauer, accounting; Emily Andrews and Carolyn Koch, advertising; Vincente Vega-Ruiz, finance; Kara Sterkel, health care administration; Curt Colburn, management; Drew Callejon and Rita Mays, marketing; Arial Brauer and Monique Valdez Heredia, small business management.

Honor students are also inducted into the honors business club, Sigma Beta Delta, at the banquet. New members include Wendi Crowther, Danielle Dieckman, Lane Cox, Trisha Martinez, Angelica Gallegos, and Kimberly Crowther.
