Graduate Commencement Ceremony is May 10
The Adams State University Graduate Commencement Ceremony, for students receiving their master's degrees, begins at 1:30 p.m. May 10, in Plachy Hall.
Adams State will award 275 degrees, including: Master of Arts: 4 in Art; 160 in Counseling; 12 in Higher Education Administration and Leadership; 1 in Humanities-U.S. History; 8 in Human Performance and Physical Education; 60 in Teacher Education; and 25 Master in Business Administration degrees; the Human Performance and Physical Education Department will also award 5 Master of Science degrees.
Dr. William Lipke, professor of music, will perform a special selection of music and a slide show featuring the graduate students will be included in the ceremony. A reception honoring the graduates and their guests will be held in the front foyer of Plachy Hall. Dr. Teri McCartney, professor of counselor education, will receive recognition as professor emeritus.
