"December Skies" is next Zacheis Planetarium free presentation (11-20-2009)
The Adams State College Zacheis Planetarium and Observatory is presenting "December Skies" at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 5. Using the planetarium's star field, we will explore the northern constellations found in the December sky at sunset. The presentation will involve various mythologies linked to these constellations, methods of finding the constellations in the night sky, and deep space objects found in these constellations.
The presentation is free. The door will open at 6:30 p.m. but will be locked once the show begins. The presentation will last about one hour. If the weather permits, the audience is invited to use the observatory's telescopes following the presentation.
The planetarium is a white domed building near the southeast corner of the main campus in Alamosa. If you have questions, please call Leslie at 719.587.7256 during normal business hours.
