Comments sought on ASC nursing program
In preparation for an evaluation of Adams State College's nursing program, the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) is seeking comments about the program from community members.
Program Director Amanda Jojola said a CCNE evaluation team will visit campus January 24-26, 2011, to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the nursing program. CCNE is a professional accrediting agency that ensures quality and integrity of nursing education programs with an overall goal of improvement of the public's health. CCNE accreditation allows Adams State College's nursing program to seek ways of improving and enhancing its nursing program.
For several months, the nursing program has been engaged in a process of self study, addressing the Commission's requirements and criteria for accreditation. During its visit, the CCNE team will gather evidence that the self-study is thorough, accurate, and that the program is successfully meeting its mission, goals, and outcomes.
