Recycle Runway with Nancy Judd is coming to Adams State

(10-13-2011)

ASC Community Partnerships and the Adams State College Art Department are bringing renowned artist and environmental educator, Nancy Judd to the San Luis Valley. Judd created "Recycle Runway" to provide education about conservation using couture fashions that she designs from trash. Her elegant recycled fashion designs have been commissioned by companies such as Coca-Cola® and Target ®. Judd makes her outfits from a variety of discarded material, including reused plastic shopping bags, soda cans and plastic bottles. Her work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal. This event is in preparation of ASC Community Partnerships' annual Recycle Exhibit and Recycle Fashion Exhibit scheduled for November.
