Work progresses on Plachy solar panels
Crews installing solar panels on the roof of Adams State College's Plachy Hall are progressing well, said Erik van de Boogaard, associate VP for Facilities Planning, Design & Construction.
The 300 kW DC solar PV system will generate at least six percent the electricity needed to power the campus, once it is operational. Work on the project is expected to be finished in about a month.
Bill Mansheim, Adams State vice president for Finance & Government Relations, said "This solar project and other sustainable energy projects will help us save on our utility bills and reduce green house emissions."
