ASC Community Partnerships hosts Dia de los Muertos exhibit (09-23-2009)

Celebrating the Day of the Dead, the Adams State College Community Partnerships Gallery exhibit "Remembrance: Dia de los Muertos" opens October 1. The exhibit will feature memorials to lost loved ones of San Luis Valley families.
The Day of the Dead tradition, with roots in Mexico and Latin America, honors and celebrates deceased loved ones and is celebrated throughout the world. Along with the exhibit's reception a book signing for Grave Images of the San Luis Valley, by Kathy T. Hettinga, is from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, in the ASC Community Partnerships Gallery, located on the corner of Main St. and Edgemont Blvd.
Gallery hours are 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. For more information call 719-587-7230.
