ASC alumna presents evening of poetry Oct. 3 (09-29-2009)

Award-winning poet Nicole Borg, Adams State Class of 1998, will present a poetry reading Saturday, Oct. 3, at 5 p.m. in the Marvel House (ASC President's Residence), 1415 Second St. The event is free and open to the public; refreshments will be served.

Borg's poem "when things get back to normal" won first place in "The Talking Stick's" 2008 competition. Her poem "Slowly" won the Grand Prize in the League of Minnesota Poets 25th Annual Poetry Contest. She has also been published in the Minnesota publications "Dust and Fire," "Green Blade," and "Main Channel Voices."
