ASC Cares events are September 21 and 24
The Adams State College 9th Annual ASC Volunteer Fair is September 21 and the 11th Annual ASC Cares Day is September 24.
The Volunteer Fair is from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, on the Campus Green, just east of Rex Stadium. San Luis Valley non-profits are invited to campus to represent their agency and recruit for volunteers. Student clubs will be fundraising by selling food items and there will be musical entertainment.
The ASC Cares Day community service event is scheduled for Saturday, September 24. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to sign up in advance to work that day on projects that serve area nonprofit agencies. Project proposals for this year's event are currently being received. Past projects have included assistance with landscaping, inventory, mailings, event set-up, art projects, youth programs, and more.
The following campus and community organizations have cosponsored ASC Cares events, Student Life & Recreation, Grizzly Activities Board, Associated Students and Faculty, Housing & Residence Life, Student Support Services; and Mi Animo Prevention, the Diocese of Pueblo and United Campus Ministry.
