Learning about local bank operations is an integral part of the upper level finance course, "Commercial Banking," in Adams State University's School of Business. These students recently visited San Luis Federal Bank and First Southwest Bank in Alamosa with their professor, Yushri Zaro.

"Duane Bussey, SLV Federal president & CEO, and his staff presented to us their recent activities in operation, investment, commercial lending, asset/liability strategic plan, and risk management," Zaro said.

Additional SLV Federal staff who made presentations included Toney Cantu, senior vice president and Chief Operating Officer; William Fassett, Chief Lending Officer; and Kellie Veneman, Chief Financial Officer.
