- About: Mick received his Bachelor's Degree in Wilderness Leadership and Experiential Education from Brevard College in Western North Carolina and finished his Master's in Leisure Service Management from Oklahoma State University. He has been working in adventure recreation for the past 18 years and involved in Student Life and Campus Recreation programming for the last 8.

Amy Dessian

- Outdoor Interests: Hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, snowboarding, ice climbing, rock climbing, canyoneering, igloo building, back country skiing, star gazing, barbecuing.
- Other Interests: Eating pie, just eating in general, hanging with my friends and being with my boyfriend, being a big sister, reading, learning, getting to know people, taking trips and getting lost.
- About: I came to Adams because it made sense financially. I took three years off from school after graduating high school. I spent that time traveling and working in various places. I like Adams because of my fabulous professors and the small community aspect. Working for ASAP has been a blast. I am currently the president of the ASC Climbing Club, a trip leader, a ropes course facilitator, and I run the Youth Climbing Club. The adventure program has been a great way for me to connect with the outdoors and get to know a lot of great people!

Ian Hellman

- About: I transferred to Adams State because of a recommendation from my mother and she, as mothers so often are, was right. Thanks Mom! During my first semester, I got hooked up with the Adventure Program while inquiring about the climbing wall. From there, the program has continued to open doors to awesome experiences as well fuel my desire to be outdoors.

Kelsea MacIlroy

- Other Interests: Reading, Kickball, knitting, canning the bounty of my garden, sewing, inventing new recipes
- About: Kelsea received her Bachelor's Degree in History from Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts and will graduate with her Masters of Ed. from Adams State in December 2009. She began exploring the outdoors as a toddler when she wandered into the hedge of her backyard and got lost. Since then she has improved her navigation skills through leading canoeing and backpacking wilderness trips, leading Challenge Course experiences, and becoming a Teacher's Assistant for Gordon College's La Vida program. She likes dark chocolate with almonds.

Christine Preiss

- About: Christine is going into her fourth year at Adams State, she will graduate in the spring of 2010. She is from Loveland, CO. She began leading trips in the spring of 2009 and has had the opportunity to participate in several trainings since working for ASAP including mountaineering and kayaking trainings. Her after college plans are not yet clear, but wherever she goes she's guaranteed to learn and grow.

- About: A native of Kansas City, Ryan relocated to the Rocky Mountains in 2005. A senior for longer than he can remember, he has attended four colleges and universities, and will finally achieve his Bachelor's degree in 2010. A lover of discovery, Ryan enjoys new challenges, and reading in his spare time. Most at home under an open sky, Ryan is usually sunburnt.
