Intramurals - General Information
There are three different types of offerings in the Intramural Sports Program: Intramural Leagues, One Day Events/Tournaments and Special Events.
Intramural Leagues
- generally run for about 5 weeks of round-robin play, followed by a single elimination tournament. Any team that does not forfeit out of the league makes it to playoffs. Teams have 1-2 games a week, based on the team availability. Intramural leagues include:
- 3 on 3 Basketball and 5 on 5 Basketball
- 4 on 4 Sand Volleyball and 6 on 6 Volleyball
- Arena Ultimate Frisbee
- Flag Football and Arena Flag Football
- Innertube Water Polo
- Indoor Soccer and Outdoor Soccer
- Melon Ball
- Quickball
- Racquetball
Most of these activities are offered at two levels: (1) Competitive and (2) Recreational (just for fun).Championship t-shirts are awarded to the overall winners in both divisions.
One Day Events/Tournaments
- are designed for someone who wants to participate, but maybe cannot commit to an intramural league. Again, most of these activities are offered at two levels, and championship t-shirts are awarded to the overall winners in both divisions. Some of the one day tournaments are:
- Badminton Singles and Doubles Tournaments
- Basketball 3 point Shootout and Free Throw Contest
- Captain and Crew Golf Tournaments
- Home Run Derby
- Horseshoes Tournaments
- Racquetball Singles and Doubles Tournaments
- Homecoming Run (timed 5K race)
- Wallyball Doubles and 3 on 3 Tournaments
